Dr. Miyara is actively involved in physician and patient advocacy, through different committees in the Medical Society of the State of New York and as a delegate in the Nassau County Medical Society. He also serves as a media ambassador for the New York Academy of Sciences as well as the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation.
